Ornidazole is a nitroimidazole antibiotic and antiprotozoal medication used to treat infections caused by anaerobic bacteria and protozoa, including amoebiasis, giardiasis, and trichomoniasis. It is also used to treat bacterial vaginosis and to prevent infections following surgery.
